We welcome swimmers from 3 months onwards. Our Parent & Child sessions (ages 3 months–3 years) are parent-accompanied lessons focused on gentle water confidence and bonding. From 3 years+, children can join our 1-to-1 programmes, where they’ll progress through each stage at their own pace with individual attention.

Yes — all SplashNSwim lessons are 1-to-1. This means every swimmer has the full attention of their instructor throughout the lesson, leading to faster progress, improved confidence, and a calmer learning experience compared to group settings.

Yes! For our younger swimmers and beginners, instructors are always in the water to provide direct support and build confidence. As swimmers become more independent, instructors may move poolside to focus on technique and stroke development.

If your child can’t attend, please complete our Absence Form as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to arrange a make-up session subject to availability. Advance notice helps us keep the schedule running smoothly.

Parents are welcome to watch from designated viewing areas. However, some children focus better when parents are not visible, so we may suggest stepping away if it helps your child concentrate. Your instructor will guide you on what works best for your swimmer.

Our private pools are maintained at around 32°C (89.6°F) — warmer than public pools — to keep swimmers comfortable and relaxed throughout their sessions.

Children should wear a well-fitting swimsuit or swim shorts. For babies and toddlers, a swim nappy must be worn under a swimsuit. Goggles are recommended for older swimmers, and a swim cap can help keep hair out of the face.

Absolutely. All SplashNSwim instructors are fully qualified, insured, and DBS-checked. They hold recognised swim teaching certifications and regularly update their training to maintain the highest safety and teaching standards.

Yes — all our Benfleet, Eastwood, and Rochford locations offer on-site parking for families. Please arrive with a few extra minutes to park and get ready before your lesson begins.

Every swimmer progresses differently. Some children gain confidence quickly, while others need more time to feel comfortable. With our 1-to-1 approach, we tailor lessons to each swimmer’s pace and celebrate progress every step of the way.

Yes — we run most lessons during school holidays to keep consistency in learning. Any planned breaks will be communicated in advance and accounted for within the schedule.

Definitely. Our instructors are experienced in helping nervous swimmers build confidence at their own pace. We recommend starting with a Taster Session to let your child get familiar with the environment in a relaxed, supportive way.

Yes! We offer Adult 1-to-1 lessons across all locations, ideal for complete beginners or those looking to refine technique, improve stamina, or overcome nerves in the water.

All bookings are managed securely through Soak.ly, our online booking system. Payments are required in advance to confirm your slot, and you’ll receive a booking confirmation once payment has been made. You can also use Soak.ly to manage your sessions, register absences, and book taster lessons quickly and easily.
