What age can my child start swimming lessons?

We welcome swimmers from 3 months onwards. Our Parent & Child sessions (ages 3 months–3 years) are parent-accompanied lessons focused on gentle water confidence and bonding. From 3 years+, children can join our 1-to-1 programmes, where they’ll progress through each stage at their own pace with individual attention.

Are your lessons 1-to-1?

Yes — all SplashNSwim lessons are 1-to-1. This means every swimmer has the full attention of their instructor throughout the lesson, leading to faster progress, improved confidence, and a calmer learning experience compared to group settings.

Do teachers get in the water with the swimmers?

Yes! For our younger swimmers and beginners, instructors are always in the water to provide direct support and build confidence. As swimmers become more independent, instructors may move poolside to focus on technique and stroke development.

What if my child misses a lesson?

If your child can’t attend, please complete our Absence Form as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to arrange a make-up session subject to availability. Advance notice helps us keep the schedule running smoothly.

Can parents watch the lessons?

Parents are welcome to watch from designated viewing areas. However, some children focus better when parents are not visible, so we may suggest stepping away if it helps your child concentrate. Your instructor will guide you on what works best for your swimmer.

What temperature are the pools?

Our private pools are maintained at around 32°C (89.6°F) — warmer than public pools — to keep swimmers comfortable and relaxed throughout their sessions.

What should swimmers wear to lessons?

Children should wear a well-fitting swimsuit or swim shorts. For babies and toddlers, a swim nappy must be worn under a swimsuit. Goggles are recommended for older swimmers, and a swim cap can help keep hair out of the face.

How do I book and pay for lessons?

Payments are required in advance to confirm your slot, and you’ll receive a booking confirmation once payment has been made.
